"Painting gives me balance. I am able to set aside everything else when I paint. I forget my work, my chores, and my list of things to do. When our painting sessions end, we frequently critique each other’s work. There are times when someone asks, ‘How did you get that color? What made you put that tree there?’ Questions like that. And, sometimes, I have to admit that I honestly don’t know. I don’t even remember constructing it or thinking it through. Painting is simply an internal drive that takes over. And to do what I love while being outdoors in California's spectacular landscape is an incredible gift!"
