Wanda Westberg, a Berkeley artist, has
established a reputation as one of the Bay Area's finest traditional plein-air
landscape painters. She paints outside, capturing in her wonderful paintings the
beauty that is this special area....oak studded hillsides, the red splash of
pickle weed in a low wetlands beside the bay, the many moods and seasons of Mt.
Tam, our lovely landmark. Point
Reyes, China Camp, the Marin Headlands, Tilden Park and Briones Valley are all
favorite places where she sets up her easel and sets to canvas the quickly
changing scenes she sees before her. In addition to landscapes, Wanda enjoys
painting sill-life and florals and is pursuing the study of the figure. A
graduate of UCLA with an honors degree in English, Wanda's art education
includes courses at UCLA in watercolor, acrylic and oil painting. She has
studied with many well-known painters including J. Thomas Soltesz, Bob Gerbracht,
Van Waldron, Brian Blood, Randall Sexton and Kevin Macpherson.
