Dennis
Ziemienski is an internationally known painter. A native San Franciscan, he
graduated cum laude from the California College of Arts & Crafts. His
paintings have been in many one-man and group exhibitions and have won numerous
awards. He is internationally known for his work with Time-Life, Levi Straus,
Rolling Stone and the New York Times. His compelling poster images include Super
Bowl XXIX, Sonoma Salute to the Arts, the Mustard Festival, The Sonoma Valley
Film Festival and Mankas Inverness Lodge. His paintings are featured on many
well-known book and magazine covers, including, “Tales of the City” by
Armisted Maupin, “Glitz” and “Bandits” by Elmore Leonard and Hemisphere
magazine for United Airlines.
In 2006 he was selected as the official artist of the Kentucky Derby. (see
